About Us:
We are building the operating system for community food programs. Not a food distributor, not a charity - the infrastructure that local foodbanks couldn't build on their own. Branded storefronts per city, an all-in-one platform to manage inventory, sales, and day-to-day operations, and the support layer that keeps affordable goods flowing to the families who need them.
We serve two audiences at once. Foodbank operators get the tooling to run a real retail operation - pricing, stock, fulfillment, reporting - without standing up a tech team of their own. Families with children, the elderly, and others facing food insecurity get a dignified shopping experience built around their needs, not a generic charity flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own product quality end-to-end - from requirement review through to release
- Define use cases, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and test cases
- Perform manual testing for new features, bug fixes, and integrations
- Design, write, and maintain automated smoke tests
- Help establish automation practices in an environment that has historically been manual
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects
- Communicate risks, blockers, and quality concerns clearly and early
- Collaborate closely with PMs, developers, and stakeholders across planning, demos, and release readiness
- Continuously improve QA processes, documentation, and testing standards
What We're Looking For:
- Proven QA experience across software products or web applications
- Strong hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing
- Ability to write clear test cases and smoke tests from business requirements
- Solid understanding of defect lifecycle, regression testing, and release validation
- Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently, asking questions, and challenging assumptions when needed
Nice to have:
Experience introducing automation into a manual QA process, familiarity with tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Postman, experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, or TestRail, and any background in non-profits, logistics, or community platforms.
#Why Join Us:
You won't just be testing software. You'll be helping keep a system running that real families rely on. If meaningful work and a team that takes quality seriously sounds like your kind of environment, we'd love to hear from you.
