About the role:

As a NodeJS Developer, you will be writing efficient code and maintaining secure applications, and play a crucial role in our development process. This is a 6 months contract with a possibility to extend.

Our partner is a successful shipping company specialising in over-sized cargo and vehicle shipment worldwide from US. The business turns around well over a hundred thousand vehicles per year and has outgrown its in-house developed business management system. To enable business growth a third-party website enhancing solution is being kicked off with an objective to generate more revenue for its direct customers.

As a Node.js developer you will:

Implement features based on verbal and written requirements
Suggest best suiting technical solutions and help shape the product
Write well-designed, efficient code
Review, test and debug code
Coordinate product releases with internal team
Identify and resolve codebase security vulnerabilities
Remain up to date with modern technologies and development practices
Promote SOLID development principle

We expect you to:

Have a strong proficiency in Node.js, Typescript
Have understanding of web application security principles and best practices
Have experience with web server technologies: HTTP servers, caching, proxies, load balancers, REST APIs and Microservices
Have strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues
